My Virtual Friend Testimony

Since I came to Scotland, my life has been very quiet. What do I mean? Well, no friends at all. I have met few people in some different places, getting in touch for some reason, but very very superficial.

What I miss deeply is the services I used to go in Brazil, and many prayers I used to have with a friend. I would say they were part of how my soul was fed every day.

You might be wondering about the services here. Yes, I have been in the church once a week, participated in some bible studies, but the quietness brings Lord close and close. In fact, He has provided what I need to survive.

The opportunity to blog is bringing a new chance to meet new friends. One of them is REVKA http://ourfamilyporch.blogspot.com/ who made this beautiful header for my blog and now so proudly I would like to say that her testimony has touch me. Revka was introduced by Linda http://makingahappylife.blogspot.com/ , my brazilian friend.

We avoid to talk about Satan and the way he uses his weapons to attack us, to make us weak in our faith. But one thing I would like to declare. We are the winners in Jesus Christ, our Saviour, our Lord, our Rock, and nothing, absolutely nothing can destroy our love in Jesus Christ. Our strength comes from HIM.

Lets pray.

Lord I worship you for your immense love, your kindness, your gentle way to bring us to a new life in You. Stay with us, and don't allow the enemy to disturb us for any reason. In Jesus name I pray and I thank you for your loyalty.

Judah And Israel In One Kingdon

The Kingdom of Judah and the Kingdom of Israel is going to be one.

"Hold in your hand the two sticks and let the people see them...
They will no longer be divided into two nations or split into two kingdoms...I will purify them, they will be my people and I will be their God... I will make a covenant with them that guarantees their security forever."


Does this passage say anything for you? Maybe yes, maybe not...The fact is; it says a lot to me.

A New Life

Maybe, this post is going to complement what I wrote about GIFTS of the HOLY SPIRIT. In fact it was written in September 2004. These words brought me many tears of happiness and hope. At the same time, they are an alert. I feel Jesus is calling me to follow HIS laws.

Ezekiel 36:27

"I will put my spirit in you and will see to it that you follow my laws and keep all the commands I gave you."

Ezekiel 37

5"I am going to put breath into you and bring you back life...then you will know that I am the Lord."

9"Mortal man, prophesy to the wind. tell the wind that sovereign Lord commands it to come from every direction, to breath into these dead bodies, and to bring then back to life."

14"I will put my breath in them, bring them back to life, and let them live in their own land. Then they will know that I am the Lord. I have promised that I would do this and I will. I, the Lord, have spoken."

It is a promise of a new life. A new life everybody wants, and only Lord can give.

How many people are devastated looking for something new to complement their life? Are you feeling you live in The Valley of Dry Bones? Only God can put breath into you and bring you back to life....

Insomnia

On Saturday night I woke up about 2 am, and for some reason I was impacient. I normally don't get up, I just stay in bed, and I usually pray. If something is annoying me, I put everything in Jesus hands, so that the solution come from him, it doesn't matter what.

As I am far from my kids, I decided to call them. They were surprised and wondering if everything was ok with me...of course I didn't mention a word about my feelings...instead...my call brought them a big smile, and some comfort for their hearts ...

When I finished with them, I prayed again and God gently said:

PSalm 4

3 Know that the LORD has set apart the godly for himself; the LORD will hear when I call to him.

4 In your anger do not sin; when you are on your beds, search your hearts and be silent. Selah

5 Offer right sacrifices and trust in the LORD.

6 Many are asking, "Who can show us any good?" Let the light of your face shine upon us, O LORD.

7 You have filled my heart with greater joy than when their grain and new wine abound.

8 I will lie down and sleep in peace, for you alone, O LORD, make me dwell in safety

An incredable peace filled up my soul, and in silence and felling safe, I went back to my bed and slept deeply with Lord...

Trust in God...He makes us dwell in safety...

Fear In A Relationship

When I was converted to a Christian, it was like a first love, a complete immersion to the words of Lord, prayers, meditation, silence, tears. I was hungry and thirsty for Jesus love, and I knew that I could get more, and more, since and then.

Time in a relationship is very important. We grow together and the love becomes more mature. The Spirit of Lord is in my life in many aspects, and I am always worried to not bring to the Lord sadness. Life floats sometimes in downs and ups, but I beg Lord not to allow me doing anything wrong that is going to hurt Him. I wish, and I believe my house, and my love in Jesus Christ is built on the rock.

"The rain poured down, the rivers flooded over, and the wind blew hard against that house. But it did not fall, because it was built on rock." Mat. 7 :25

Where is your house built? what do you do that not please God?

A Gift Of The Holy Spirit

I remember when for the first time my daugther asked me what was her gift. She couldn't see any in hers. But yes, everybody has a gift. This time the Christians celebrate Pentecost. It is a party fifty days (seven weeks) after Easter for the gifts of the Holy Spirit.

In Act 2: 1-11

"A noise from the sky sounded like a strong wind blowing, and people saw what looked like tongues of fire which spread out and touched each person, the believers. They were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to talk in other languages."

You might be wondering "what kind of language is that?". It is a language that speaks to your heart. You worship Lord with your heart, your soul, your mind in an absolute hight level of spirituality in the Lord presence.

But speaking in other languages is not the only Gift of the Holy Spirit. We can't even confess that "Jesus is Lord," unless we are guided by the Holy Spirit. 1 Corinthians 12:3

As my daughter wasn't aware of her gifts, you might not be either.

In 1 Corinthians 12:4 we have that the Spirit of Lord can give us the gift of serving the Lord, message full of wisdom, message full of knowledge, a power to heal, a power to work miracles, speaking God's message, and as well the ability to know when the gift is not from the Holy Spirit. The Lord gives different gift to each person.

What is your gift???

When Your Problem Is A Giant

Difficult times bring sadness to our heart, and I am not different of you. I use to say;

"I don't have a cockroach blood. I am a human being with defects, imperfections, and thanks Lord in my veins run red blood."

So, I am like you. Sometimes, a simple thing that can be easily solved becomes a giant. We have the capability to involve friends, family in some situations that is up to us to find strenght to keep life on.

In the Bible, 1 Samuel 17:41, we can learn with David, a shepherd boy, when he faced Goliath, a man who was over nine feet tall and wore bronze armor that weighed about 125 pounds and bronze helmet. David refused Saul's armor, a bronze helmet, and a sword, because he couldn't walk wearing all of that. Instead, he got his shepherd's stick, five smooth stones, and the sling.

God had saved David and his sheeps from lions and bears. The same God would save him from the giant.

"Goliath said to David: What's that stick for? Do you think I am a dog?...Come on,...I will give your body to the birds and animals to eat. 43

"David answered: you are coming against me with sword, spear, and javelin, but I come against you in the name of the Lord Almighty..." 45

"David took out a stone, which he slung at Goliath. He hit him on the forehead and broke his skull, and Goliath fell face downward on the ground." 49

Have you ever thougth that we can face the giants in the name of God, the Lord Almighty?

Friend's Gift

Feeding Your Heart

This couple of ducks has been around our house for a week. The first day we saw them on the patio we gave them some bread. From that day on they come every day to the front door waiting to be fed. They are not scared, and our dog welcome them as well. The male is the one with green head, and on the back is the female. He always gives her a chance to be feed first, and then he eats.

I had never seen this kind of duck before, and I believe we don't have them in Brazil.

As the ducks, we need to be fed.

"Jesus told them, "I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never become hungry, and whoever believes in me will never become thirsty"". John 6:35

"Jesus answered him, "Scripture says, 'A person cannot live on bread alone.' " Luke 4:4
