WEATHER

In Scotland people usually talk about weather. Probably because it rains a lot. Anyway, you have just to go for a walk that you are going to hear:
LOVELY DAY!
BEAUTIFUL DAY!
OH! HORRIBLE WEATHER!
Everybody knows that I avoid certain words, basically they are call off my vocabulary. But, yesterday I heard the last comment about three times in 10 minutes. I usually give a smile back, in this case a "sad smile", and I have just decided to ask this question:
DO YOU KNOW WHY SCOTLAND IS GREEN?
Of course the answer was...BECAUSE IT RAINS A LOT OVER HERE...
Very simple. It is fine, and gentle rain.
God Bless !

TASTING THE NEW

My friend from Brazil has always a refreshment for me. I have been very busy lately, but besides been common for someone modern, is at the same time an alert to not be far away of life in itself. Life, I mean, time for some reflection, for enjoyment, for friends and family, and for my blog. There has been six days without thinking of blogging. It is not good at all.

Thanks my friend for your advice. There is some basic knowledge inner inside, that for some reason it doesn't flow. It is why friends are for.

Watch for your friend! It is the best feeling! A friendly word, encouragement, lovely care...

“Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.”- Ephesians 4:2

WISDOM

“If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him.”

VIDEO OF JOHN PIPER "ON THE PROSPERITY GOSPEL"

I wouldn't like to paraphrase the words of John Piper about people who are using the gospel to promote the prosperity. But, as a Brazilian and with some life experience in visiting different Churches and different denominations, I understand how dangerous this approach is for the ones who are in need of everything. I mean, basic food and supply to live with dignity.

I wish you can watch this video:

SUNRISE IN BROUGHTY FERRY

In the winter the day is very short, although there are some beautiful moments during the day we can eternalize with a good shot.

Nice to be there and appreciate for couples of minutes this glorious sunrise.

It is an expression of love, when you take a deep breath and enjoy the beauty.

This is a moment of happiness for my eyes and my soul.

BLUE SKY

I always see the jets crossing the sky in Scotland, but this is the first time I get a picture which I can see the missels.

Scaring!!! Those are what the men are holding in their hands. Basically "life"!!!

There is so much to say...

HAPPINESS

Why do we look for happiness?

Why do we see in God our hope for a better life?

God is above everything. He is perfect and He is always patient, content, and He is the only one able to make our wish to come true, because His plans for us is all good.

Most of the time we have very small thoughts about what we want. We are satisfied of making mud balls in the slam. Instead, we should dream with our holidays on the beach. God has and wants so much more for us. He cares and He can make more than we can imagine and dream.

Happiness...happiness...

“No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.”

1 Corinthians 10:13

WATCH YOUR WORDS

I consider some words really "strong", specially when they are used straight to someone, such as "stupid" and "hate". Although, I know they are very common in people's mouth, I believe we should reflect about the strenght of words when pronunced.

The Bible is very clear about what we say. If you are reading this, I hope you can understand the truth meaning of the words. Think first, keep for yourself, change your mind, and spread the good news.

I hope you the best of the best!!!

18 The words of the reckless pierce like swords, Proverbs 12

27 Scoundrels plot evil, and on their lips it is like a scorching fire. Proverbs 16

2 You who practice deceit, your tongue plots destruction; it is like a sharpened razor PSalm 52

3 They sharpen their tongues like swords and aim cruel words like deadly arrows. PSalm 64

“If anyone says, "I love God," yet hates his brother, he is a liar. For anyone who does not love his brother, whom he has seen, cannot love God, whom he has not seen. And he has given us this command: Whoever loves God must also love his brother.”

1 John 4:20-21

NOT BE AFRAID

I usually hear how people are afraid of this and of that in their daily lives. Sometimes, I just listen to them, although I always take their concerns personally.

Fears...

Doubts...

In my deep thoughts, I really want to say something to comfort them. Some of God's words, words of blessing, hope, love, happiness...

To not be afraid and to find happiness...you need God in your life...
See this red squirrel...isn't it beautiful? It is a very special moment to admire him in the garden...but they are always timid and it is hard to get very near to them...even though it comes for some water close to the house.
If you are like the squirrel...come to the Lord...drink the water...
In Jeremiah 2:13 the LORD says, "...they have forsaken me the fountain of living waters"...

GLENSHEE

The happiness when I saw everything white in snow made me feel like a child. I smiled biggg, I ran printing my feet everywhere...and pictures...I took lots of beautiful pictures. Here they are. I hope you enjoy the landscape, the bright white colour of this sunshine Sunday.
Many people in Scotland were in Glenshee, a ski station, for the weekend. Snowboard and ski for the winter sport promise to be very good this time. Some of them have decided to make the weekend longer where the weather forecast says it is going to be very cold....today...zero degrees...
PSalm 4
6 Many, LORD, are asking, "Who will bring us prosperity?" Let the light of your face shine on us.
7 Fill my heart with joy when their grain and new wine abound.
8 In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, LORD, make me dwell in safety.

CELEBRATION

Living in Scotland and doing everything I really enjoy, I would not say I am "home sick". What helps me to rejoice and be pleased with my life is to be completely dependent of God. I pray for everything, for my day, the food I eat, my job, people who are around me, my friends, and especially for God's guidance.

Although, I see and hear things that I don't like, it is very hard to make my point of view and express myself thoroughly with my words. Instead, I pray, because what I can't do, God does. Furthermore, if I am completely wrong in my concepts and judgement, HE decides for me.

And to celebrate the New Year, I wish Lord's presence in my life, more and more.

“He has showed you, O man, what is good. And what does the LORD require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.”- Micah 6:8

Crisis

I am a mature person, with lots of life experience, and a hard worker with some part jobs, but I thank Lord for all the blessings HE has given to me and my family during difficult times. I don't need to say that money is one of the biggest issue of concerning that involves our daily life. I would say, it can guide the way we live. Taking into consideration the necessity of living and all the facilities around it, such as education, food, transport, and other things, I fully understand what a financial crisis is. So, if you have faced any problem, you must know that you are not alone. You have SOMEONE who cares for you. Don't worry about your present circumstances, God's blessing is also to introduce the ones who can bring us some hope.
