NEW YEAR 2010

Joshua 1

After the death of Moses the servant of the LORD, the LORD said to Joshua son of Nun, Moses' aide: 2 "Moses my servant is dead. Now then, you and all these people, get ready to cross the Jordan River into the land I am about to give to them—to the Israelites. 3 I will give you every place where you set your foot, as I promised Moses. 4 Your territory will extend from the desert to Lebanon, and from the great river, the Euphrates—all the Hittite country—to the Great Sea on the west. 5 No one will be able to stand up against you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will never leave you nor forsake you.

6 "Be strong and courageous, because you will lead these people to inherit the land I swore to their forefathers to give them. 7 Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go. 8 Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. 9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go."

Joshua 3

Crossing the Jordan

1 Early in the morning Joshua and all the Israelites set out from Shittim and went to the Jordan, where they camped before crossing over. 2 After three days the officers went throughout the camp, 3 giving orders to the people: "When you see the ark of the covenant of the LORD your God, and the priests, who are Levites, carrying it, you are to move out from your positions and follow it. 4 Then you will know which way to go, since you have never been this way before. But keep a distance of about a thousand yards between you and the ark; do not go near it."

5 Joshua told the people, "Consecrate yourselves, for tomorrow the LORD will do amazing things among you."

6 Joshua said to the priests, "Take up the ark of the covenant and pass on ahead of the people." So they took it up and went ahead of them.

7 And the LORD said to Joshua, "Today I will begin to exalt you in the eyes of all Israel, so they may know that I am with you as I was with Moses. 8 Tell the priests who carry the ark of the covenant: 'When you reach the edge of the Jordan's waters, go and stand in the river.' "

9 Joshua said to the Israelites, "Come here and listen to the words of the LORD your God.

CHRISTMAS 2009

It is a time people are busy, going shopping, thinking about the ones we love, meals to prepare...time to get together.

Time to give, time to love...

“For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men. It teaches us to say "No" to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age,”- Titus 2:11-12

BEING DIFFERENT

"I will never forget you"

This is the promise God gives us.
It is impossible to try to change other people. We can change the way we see things and this can be infectious.

Daily life can take us from God's presence, but if we trust Him He will show us the way. "All will be well".

"The LORD has forsaken me,

the Lord has forgotten me."
15 "Can a mother forget the baby at her breast

and have no compassion on the child she has born?
Though she may forget,

I will not forget you!
16 See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands;

REMEMBRANCE

There are some personal belongings that remind me important events in my life such as:

• Pictures
  
• Jewelleries


• Clothes


• Books


• Key ring

I could write down an extent list of things that remind me some other things. Friends, events, my past, trips... They can be hilarious, funny, sad, terrific, amusing. I can experience different feelings when something reminds me.

What does Jesus remind you? He reminds me that He is the son of the God. He reminds me that He died for me. He reminds me that He is LOVE, and He LOVES me. Where LOVE is there is no fear. His LOVE gives me confidence.

Ephesians 3:16
I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being,

I belong to God and He Loves me.

THIRTY SECONDS OF SILENCE

I like to be silent and I'd like to try an experiment.

How about if we stay in silence for 30 seconds, just for 30 seconds.

Please ... close your eyes and be silent before God.

I can understand that your mind wanders here and there ... probably you are going to think of things you've forgotten.

It's a hard exercise. It's hard to be silent, to be still before the living God.

It requires practice. You might look at your schedule carefully and examine a proper place to stay.

Where? At home? Which room? Somewhere else? On the mountain? On the beach? In your car? Going out somewhere for a walk?

When? Before going to work? Before going to bed? When can you make your own time with God?

ALONE WITH GOD

The Scriptures tell us that Jesus departed into the mountain to be alone with the Father and that He was often "alone praying."

You are going to benefit if you are alone with God. That is the way to start your relationship with God. You can share the feeling of His gracious heart, His unique glory, His powerful presence, His bright light...

You can feed your heart with His purity.

He is HOLY!!!

PSALM 27:14
